Life Update, Quarantine Things

Hey Friends! Wow, it has been a while since I have published a post. I’ve missed sharing my life with you all on here. If there is one thing I think we all can agree on it is that 2020 has been one for the books. I saw a post yesterday that said, “Has anyone tried lighting a fall candle to fix 2020 yet?” I must admit, I lit a pumpkin candle this past weekend.

While 2020 has been an interesting year with a lot of anxiety and stress, many wonderful things have also been taking place. Chase is continuing to work in the dental clinic at Roseman University and is about to start his 3rd year of Dental School. His passion for serving and helping others never ceases to amaze me. He will be a fantastic dentist.

With spending more time at home, we have been taking on more home projects. When we purchased our home in February of 2019, snow filled the backyard and when spring rolled around we realized we had our work cut out for us. Over the past couple of months, we have transformed our backyard by adding a wood burning fire pit, a fire table to our patio, and have added landscaping. We still have quite a ways to go, but since updating it we have spent almost every evening enjoying it. I will share more pictures of our yard soon!

We have also been updating certain areas inside our home. Our home was updated when we purchased it, but there were certain things I knew I wanted to change. Our master had laminate flooring and we loved it so much that we decided to take the plunge and remove the carpet from the remaining bedrooms. We are doing this a step at a time to be more budget friendly, but YESTERDAY our guest room/office got updated! We LOVE the new flooring and can’t wait to finish the other rooms.

It has been wonderful getting to spend extra time at home. The pups are living for quarantine life. Any other #dogparents with me on this? As thing begin to open back up here in Utah we are being extra careful. I am hopeful for the future, but for now we are taking it a day at a time. 🙂

I hope you and your family are staying safe and well. Chase and I wish you all the best.

Thanks for stopping by!

Xo,

Ri
