Simple, Classic Tablescape with MacKenzie-Childs

Hello December! I can’t believe that the holiday season is officially here. We all know this year looks a little different than usual, but nonetheless I am excited for all that the season brings. We all know that gatherings will be small and intimate, but this doesn’t mean that they can’t be filled with the love and excitement that fills the air this time of year.

One of my most high-traffic areas during the holiday season is my kitchen table. In our current home Chase and I don’t have a formal dining room, but our kitchen gets SO much love! When I think of a tablescape for this year, my mind goes straight to practicality. I wanted something that was simple, yet fun and practical.

In October I had the opportunity to meet with a few members of the MacKenzie-Childs team. I was thrilled for this opportunity to work with MacKenzie-Childs to learn more about their incredible brand and the artisans behind their products. One of my favorite things I learned while meeting with the brand was the idea behind creating a perfect table setting. They emphasized that in creating it, it should be special and unique to you and your family. The team at MacKenzie-Childs also emphasized the versatility of their iconic Courtly-Check pattern and as I began to put my table together I discovered this to be true. I loved hearing all of this and kept this in mind when I was designing our table.

To set our table, I used the MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check Cork Back Placemats, the Courtly Check Enamel Dinner Plate, and the Courtly Check Enamel Salad/Dessert Plate. To add a special touch to our tablescape, I added a bowl from my wedding china set. This truly makes the table feel like my own, and I can see what the MacKenzie-Childs team meant when they said that Courtly Check truly is a versatile pattern. When serving, I will use my Geo Pot Holders and the Courtly Check Enamel 3 Qt. Sauté Pan to round out the look.

I can’t wait to keep adding more fun and unique items to my MacKenzie-Childs collection over the years. Their pieces are so unique and I hope to be able to pass them down to my children one day, similar to how my mom introduced MacKenzie-Childs to me. Their Courtly Check Pattern has always been a favorite of mine and now that I see how versatile it is I love it even more! I’ve got my eye on a couple other pieces like their Courtly Check Cutting Board, the Courtly Check Fluted Cake Stand, and all of their incredible glassware! I mean-how FUN is the Blooming Champagne Flute! I would love to fill my entire home with MacKenzie-Childs products. It brings such a fun and whimsical flare to any space.

I cannot wait to host small, intimate gatherings for family and friends this season. I hope that you are enjoying all the season brings. Wishing you a wonderful December.

Thanks for stopping by!

XO,

Ri
