Our Porch for Fall

Happy First Day of Fall! Fall is by far my favorite season and I am so happy it is finally here! I have been itching to decorate our porch for fall and I decided to decorate last night to ring in the new season. I typically try to stay neutral in fall decor-no Halloween decor-so I can keep it up through Thanksgiving, but this year I found a few Halloween items that I couldn’t pass up. Once Halloween passes the plan is to revitalize the porch with a wreath and to keep it festive throughout Thanksgiving.

One of the easiest ways to instantly spruce up your porch for the season is by adding corn stalks on either side of your porch or door. Our local grocery store sells these each year and they are truly one of my favorite ways to decorate. I also picked up an assortment of pumpkins at our local store, Smith’s, to layer on our steps. I also love switching out our doormat for each season, and this is something that instantly makes the porch feel updated and fresh! The skeleton hanging on our door was a TJMaxx find, but I have linked very similar options here and here. I have also been seeing these 3D bats all over and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. I bought a pack of 72 for $8.99 from Amazon and I feel that they really added to our door. I love how they look like they are flying off of the door. As we get closer to Halloween I plan to add cobweb on our potted plants to add to the spooky look. 🙂

I hope this season is off to a wonderful start for you and your family. I am excited for everything the season brings. Do you have plans to decorate your porch for the season? I’d love to know your plans!

Thanks for stopping by!

XO,

Ri
