My 3 Words for 2022

Hello 2022! I am so excited to for this year! I love the hope, excitement, and joy that a new year always brings. This year is a HUGE year for my family. In April, Chase will graduate from dental school and I am so excited to see where life will take us after that. With this also brings a lot of unknowns for us. Instead of setting a resolution, I have chosen to pick 3 words to meditate on throughout the year.

My words: Present. Faithful. Simplify.

PRESENT:

-Be present with my family. This often will require me to put down my phone, especially in the evenings, when I naturally gravitate towards being on it when watching tv/lounging with family at night.

-Be present in the moment: Ask myself throughout the day, “Am I living in THIS moment?”

-Focus on mindfulness and connection to my mind and body.

FAITHFUL:

-Continue to build my faith in Christ

-Have faith in the future and what is to come

-Faith that I am capable and can do whatever comes my way

SIMPLIFY:

-Simplify in our home and clear out all the “extras” we don’t need, AKA declutter

-Focus on the people and things that really matter

-Simplify my day-to-day tasks. Focus on the things that really will move the needle

The list under each word are not my goals but how I see myself using this word to guide me this year. They are my thoughts on how each of the words can be applied in my life. Do you have a word or set of words that you like to focus on at the beginning and throughout the year? If so, I would love to hear what yours is.

I want to wish you a wonderful 2022 full of health, hope, and happiness. Here’s to a brand new year!

XO,

Ri
