The past couple of weeks have been full of exciting things. This weekend Chase and I were showered with so much love at our couples shower! We had so much fun celebrating with everyone that came and hope everyone had as much fun as we did. Only 54 days until we say “I do” and we can’t wait! When I told people that I was engaged 6 months ago I received mixed comments from those I told. While most were happy for me, some didn’t understand and thought that I was ridiculous to be getting married at the age of 21. While I know that 21 is young, I feel insanely lucky to have found “my person” at such a young age. By getting married young we will get to spend the most exciting years of our lives together. At the moment we are getting to experience the stress and craziness that comes with being in college. I wouldn’t want to be going through it with anyone else. We are always there to support each other, advise each other, and most of all love each other. While we will be there for each other through the wonderful moments, we will also be there for each other when things don’t go quite our way. There is nothing more comforting than the thought of coming home to someone you love on a hard day. According to the National Marriage Projects 2013 report, the most satisfied 20 year olds are married as opposed to being single or co-habitating. I understand that this is definitely not true for all people of my age, but I know that right now I couldn’t be happier. When we look at each other we see the rest of our lives, and we feel lucky to get to be together for the crazy adventures that lie ahead.
