With Labor Day being this weekend, summer is officially coming to an end. As sad as this is,  I am very excited for the fall season and everything that comes with it. Here in Utah Fall is very short lived. Chase and I have made it a goal for us to get out and enjoy the beautiful scenery Utah has to offer during the upcoming season. We can’t wait for the leaves to change.

On Friday we decided the best way to spend one of our final date nights of this summer was to take a picnic to a park in Provo Canyon. On our way up the canyon we decided to stop at a local bakery here in Provo, Kneaders, to pick up dinner. Chase went with the turkey, bacon, avocado, and I went with the pesto chicken panini. They both were excellent choices! We even picked up a loaf of Kneader’s pumpkin bread. It’s definitely one of my favorite treats! After eating our dinner, we relaxed on the picnic blanket and took in our surroundings. It’s hard for me to believe that I can be surrounded by such beautiful  scenery in just a twenty minute drive from our house. Many think that special memories have to be expensive. This is not true! The memories that Chase and I made tonight I will always remember. With the stress that school brings this was the perfect way to relax and unwind.

Chase and I couldn’t have had a better time tonight. With the first week of school being behind us and with so much to look forward to with the upcoming fall season, we couldn’t be more excited. I have my first performance of the season with Theatre Ballet in two weeks and I can’t wait to be on stage again. Chase and I have a fall season jam packed with fun events. Stay tuned to see what we get ourselves into.
