Importance of Planning a Date Night..

Chase and I have been extremely busy, but we were able to squeeze in a quick date night to head up to Station Park and grab the burger at Twigs Bistro. Utah friends, Twigs is one of my all time favorite spots! Their burger is THE BEST! I wore this darling polka dot skirt on our date. It was cooler, so I paired it with a red turtleneck. It would also be super cute with a red tee for summer. You can score an extra 15% off by using code

When life takes over, date night/nights with our girl gang are often the first things to go. Who else agrees? Chase and I quickly discovered this after we got married, and we realized that we had to prioritize date night. We have found that when we make a “date” and set time aside to have a special evening, it is a wonderful thing. For a while we got complacent and felt like date night was every night once we got married. After all, we were together every night after we got home from school. Whether we were making dinner, going out to dinner, watching a movie, it was time together and felt like a date night.

WOW were we wrong. We soon discovered that it just wasn’t the same. We set a goal to plan a day that we would have a date. Even if this date was making dinner at home or cuddling on the couch to watch Netflix, we had an evening set aside for us to be together.

Whether you’re in a relationship, getting together with your girl friends, or have been married for years, PRIORITIZE your date night/night with those that encourage you to be your best. I have found that when I do this I am happier and a much better me. This has been a year of personal discovery and realizing what I need to be the happiest me. Took me long enough to figure these things out, right? haha!

Get to planning that date night. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you are together. Thank you for reading and stopping by!

XO,

Ri
