Hi friends! I hope you’ve had a great weekend. As the weekend is drawing to a close and a new week is approaching I wanted to share a few ways that I prep for a new week. I’ve found that by prepping for the week, setting my intentions and knowing whats ahead, my week is always SO much better. Here are a few things I do…
- Review my calendar for the week: I do not like going into Monday morning not knowing what to expect. I have found that by reviewing my calendar and knowing my schedule for the week I am prepared for what is coming my way.
2. Tidy up my house/desk space: This one is somewhat difficult do always get done, but when I wake up Monday morning to a tidy house and a clean workspace, my morning is ALWAYS much more productive.
3. Meal Prep/Plan: With Chase and my schedules being a little crazy, we’ve discovered that it is crucial for us to meal prep/plan out our dinners. Even if this is simply writing down what we are eating for dinner M-F, it helps both of us have an idea of what to expect and how to prepare. We find it so difficult when 5 o’clock hits and neither one of us know what we want or have no motivation to make anything.
4. Write down anything that’s stressing me out/worrying me: Do you ever have something that will just not escape your mind? We are human and this happens! I’ve found that when this happens it is most helpful for me to write down what is bothering me. By doing this I can think through add try to justify why I am feeling the way I am.
5. Try to get to sleep at a reasonable time: This one is also easier said than done. 🙂 Since becoming pregnant I have loved going to sleep, but this makes it even more crucial that I get enough sleep! I try to get at least 8 hours a night-especially on Sunday leading into a new week so that I wake up feeling recharged and ready to take on whatever the week throws my way.
5. Pick my outfit for the next day: I know this one might sound crazy to some, but this has been SO helpful for me. By picking my outfit the night before I can wake up, squeeze in my workout, shower, and throw on my clothes for the day. It takes out the guess work in the morning and has helped cut down my getting ready time. This dress is a new favorite of mine and I have a feeling I will be reaching for it all summer long! I LOVE the color too!
Do you have any Sunday rituals that you do to prepare for the week? Let me know in the comments! Wishing you all a lovely week to come!
XO,
Ri
